Course Description: Join us for entertaining poetry readings and delightful live music to celebrate the art of poetry. Poets include Linda Albert, Liz Bergmann, Lucia Blinn, Kevin Costello, Doug Knowlton, Steve McAllister, and Pat Owen. These talented, established poets, will bring a wide variety of poems to read and talk about. Share the humor, insight, poignancy, and power of their poetry! Trevor Bystrom, singer/songwriter/musician, will play between readings and infuse the room with his inspirational lyrics and captivating sounds and rhythms from around the globe. There will be an opportunity to ask the poets questions at the end of all the readings. Don’t miss this wonderful event to enjoy poetry by hearing it read and discussed by the poets themselves!

About the facilitator: Kevin Costello graduated Chelsea School of Art and University of London’s Goldsmiths College with degrees in fine art and art history. Kevin is a studio artist and has taught painting, drawing, sculpture, and art history at the San Francisco Academy of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Ringling College of Art and Design. He was the art and architecture correspondent for the Sarasota Herald Tribune for eight years and currently teaches art and humanities for the School Board of Sarasota and local lifelong learning centers.
